Valencia Town Center's Last Holiday Season Before Round1: What's Open and What's Still Coming

A sunlit ivory stucco home with a clay-tile roof, broad front lawn, mature oak and flowering bougainvillea beside the entry.

"This reopening represents so much more than a refreshed space," Jessica Escorza told SCVNews ahead of Just Brew It's scheduled October 23 reopening. She is co-founder and co-program director of Agape Village, the nonprofit that runs the coffee shop behind Solita and The Stand.

With November close, that renovated counter at The Patios is the newest change at Valencia Town Center. The larger plans announced this spring are now dated for later, so this year's holiday season at the mall depends on small openings and a calendar of events centered on the first floor.

A Coffee Counter Is the Newest Thing at The Patios

Agape Village is a nonprofit adult day program for adults with special needs in the Santa Clarita Valley. It was founded by two special education teachers, Tim Hart and Jessica Escorza. Agape Village scheduled the public reopening of the renovated Just Brew It for October 23, from 9 a.m. to noon. Agape Village says the shop and its expanding learning spaces give its clients a chance to build workplace skills, confidence and independence.

The address is 24201 Valencia Blvd., #3402, at The Patios, behind Solita and The Stand. If you are parking for a holiday shopping run, that puts coffee in the outdoor dining area rather than inside the enclosed mall. More information is at agape-village.org.

The location matters because The Patios is also where several of this year's most anticipated restaurants are supposed to land, and none of them has opened yet.

The Summer Openings Are Still Listed as Coming Soon

Centennial, the mall's owner, announced a group of new tenants in late April. The SCVNews report said openings would be phased "throughout 2026 and 2027." The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce's version of the announcement went further and said some of the marquee openings were planned for "this summer."

Summer is over. The Valencia Town Center directory shows a split, as of this writing. Here is where the April names stand.

Tenant What it is Directory status at this writing
KPOT Korean BBQ and hot pot, at The Patios Coming soon
Panini Kabob Grill Restaurant, at The Patios Coming soon
Bushfire Kitchen Restaurant Coming soon
Round1 Bowling & Arcade Entertainment anchor Coming soon
Bacio di Latte Gelato Listed, not marked coming soon
Madison Reed Hair color salon Listed, not marked coming soon
Cinnabon First-floor food court Listed, not marked coming soon
Trelen Suite 1249 Listed, not marked coming soon

The individual mall pages for KPOT and Panini Kabob Grill place both at The Patios and show posted hours. The directory's "coming soon" label is the clearer signal, though, and neither restaurant has announced an opening date. For a December dinner booking, treat them as not yet open until the restaurants say otherwise.

Some of the April names have arrived. The mall's event calendar listed a grand opening for Madison Reed on October 28, along with one on October 24 for Shapermint, which was not part of the April announcement. KHTS reported in April that Pharmacy Boardshop, Slice House by Tony Gemignani and Wafflecomb were already open. All three are still in the directory without a "coming soon" tag.

So far, the openings have been mostly retail, a salon and quick bites. The sit-down restaurants are the part of the plan still waiting.

Two September Closings Mean Fewer Sit-Down Options

The gap at The Patios matters more because of two closings in September. KHTS reported that Xevichez Sushi set Tuesday, September 22, as the last day for its Valencia Town Center location after 10 years there, and that the restaurant's other locations were not affected. The same report said Red Lobster on The Old Road in Valencia planned to close on Sunday, September 20, after its landlord did not renew its lease.

Both restaurants were open last holiday season. This season, neither is, and the three restaurants listed as coming soon have not opened yet. Solita and The Stand are the names SCVNews used to locate Just Brew It at The Patios. If you are planning a holiday dinner for a group near the mall, book ahead.

After Halloween, the Holiday Calendar Moves Indoors

The pumpkin patch outside Spirit Halloween closes October 31. After that, the mall's listed holiday programming is inside on the first floor, near H&M and JCPenney. These are the dates the Valencia Town Center events page and related listings show from Halloween through Christmas Eve.

  1. Valencia Pumpkin Patch, through October 31. Outside Spirit Halloween, open weekdays 3 to 9 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with games, bounce houses, food trucks and live music.
  2. Mall-o-Ween Trick-or-Treating, October 31. The listing does not give a time.
  3. Santa Photos, November 6 through December 24. On the first floor near H&M.
  4. Santa's Arrival Celebration, November 14, 1 to 3 p.m. A free public event at Santa's Holiday Home, on the first floor near H&M.
  5. Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26. The mall's hours page lists it as closed.
  6. Black Friday, Friday, November 27. The hours page lists 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., so confirm closer to the date.
  7. Sande Strings Holiday Performance, December 11, 6 to 7 p.m. On the first floor near JCPenney.

The photo listing and the arrival event appear as two separate entries. Photos are listed from November 6, and the arrival celebration is November 14. If your family is aiming for one or the other, check the Santa's Arrival page and the Santa Photos page before you go.

November 14 Fits Two Events Into One Saturday

The same Saturday as the mall's arrival celebration, Strawberry & Fig is holding its free Jingle Fest at Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The organizer describes a holiday market with 275 artisans and crafters, food trucks, live entertainment and Santa.

The times barely overlap. Jingle Fest runs all day, and the mall's event is a two-hour window in the early afternoon. A morning at Central Park followed by the 1 p.m. arrival at Valencia Town Center fits in one Saturday, with Jingle Fest still open afterward if you want a second pass at the vendors.

Saturday, November 14, at a glance Jingle Fest at Central Park: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., free Santa's Arrival Celebration at Valencia Town Center: 1 to 3 p.m., free, first floor near H&M

Round1 Arrives After the Holidays

The biggest change on the property is still a holiday season away. The Signal reported in March that Round1 Bowling & Arcade plans a roughly 125,000-square-foot venue at the southeast end of the mall, including Spo-cha and YUU Japanese Food Hall, with an anticipated opening in early 2027. The mall directory still lists it as coming soon.

The release describes Round1 as part of the first phase of a multi-phase redevelopment. In February, The Signal reported that the City of Santa Clarita had finished its Town Center planning work and that the redevelopment was now Centennial's project to carry out. At the time, Centennial told the paper it had no new confirmed information to share.

If Round1 opens on its early-2027 schedule, it will be the largest single addition in the April announcement. KPOT, Bushfire Kitchen and Panini Kabob Grill remain listed as coming soon with no announced dates.
